The design of this program
provides the student with the basic understanding of the fundamentals
of massage. Through lecture and hands-on instruction in Swedish
techniques, pathology, anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology,
the student is prepared to successfully enter the massage
industry. The program also provides information in various
additional techniques currently practiced in massage therapy
clinics. At the end of this program, students are prepared
to sit for the national certification examination.

This program
is designed to prepare the graduate for employment as a Surgical
Technologist. Graduates of this skill-intensive program will
learn the methods, technology, and instrumentation needed
to assist surgeons in the operating room, the proper way to
scrub and gown for surgery, how to position a patient for
a surgical procedure, basic science concepts relating to the
human body, technological sciences and surgical procedures.
The student will also participate in mock, or practice, surgeries
on life-like mannequins by assisting instructors who have
extensive experience in the field. Prior to graduating from
this program, students are required to perform more than five
months of externship in hospital operating rooms as a surgical
technologist-in-training. |
